I really like the style of Vice, from the way it is written and their irreverant approach to every subject to the content that is featured. The founders of Vice, Suroosh Alvi, Gavin McInnes and Shane Smith, say that they want Vice to be a platform for alternative opinions, unusual stories and forgotten people that would otherwise be overlooked by mainstream media sources to get themselves heard. I would love for our zine to have this kind of tone of voice and so I've been researching Vice further. Unfortunately I left my copies at home when I was last there so I've been looking at it online and also reading this great book I got at Christmas, The Vice Guide To Sex And Drugs And Rock And Roll. Its by the magazines founders and is a compilation of some of their most popular and controversial articles. Its such an interesting read I can hardly put it down, all in the name of research!
